I Know My Redeemer Lives

"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth." Job 19:25 KJV

Job had a sure knowledge that no matter what happened to him that his Redeemer lives. Job knew the Lord of glory in a very personal way. He did not say his three friends' Redeemer liveth but my Redeemer. To have a sure consolation you must know this Redeemer for yourself. Salvation from the Lord Jesus Christ is a thing that we receive individually. It does not come in a group, but is personal. Job's knowledge caused him to have great confidence in his Redeemer. I am glad that no matter what kind of trial we find ourselves in and no matter what losses come from our trials. Yes, I said losses. Some battles there are more casualties than others, but there are always losses. So it is in the spiritual battles the we face we suffer losses of friendship, confidence in people, even our physical health suffers. There is, however, one thing that we can trust in and have great confidence in. That no matter what we lose we cannot lose our Redeemer, and He won't lose us. We know that because our Redeemer lives we will live. Our God reigns now and will rule and reign on the earth from the throne of David. There will never be a time when our Lord does not live. So, as long as the eternal Redeemer lives, we as the people of God, have a great consolation.

Amen.
